Navigation is guidance.
Driftistan provides map, route, offline territory, social, Garage, Road Zone, and progression features. Map and GPS results may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Road signs, closures, authorities, and applicable law always take priority.
Access is explicit and scoped.
Connected-assistant access is optional and requires a named account, an enabled Connected Assistant Bridge, and a driver-created API key. The driver selects the key's scopes. While enabled, route geometry, destination, precise location, saved places, navigation, journey, and bounded device state may be shared with the driver's chosen assistant within those scopes. Approved actions are audited and are not successful until the connected device acknowledges execution.
Disabling the bridge aborts bridge traffic and, when the device can reach Driftistan, requests immediate deletion of its live assistant snapshot and cancellation of pending commands. Whether or not that cleanup request arrives, the server automatically deletes precise live device state after two minutes without a device heartbeat. Drivers can rotate or revoke a key at any time. The transparent HUD does not receive the key. Third-party assistants are independent services controlled by their providers, and their own terms and privacy practices apply.
Your separate consent controls sampling.
Installing or opening Driftistan does not consent to Navigation Improvement Sampling. The feature is off by default. If you explicitly enable it, Driftistan may capture one private sample of up to 60 seconds no more than once every 12 hours, after active navigation has continued for two minutes and only while the app is visible.
Training fields can include precise GPS coordinates, route geometry, destination name and coordinates, timestamps, speed and accuracy, accepted and displayed positions, available raw gyroscope and orientation data, fused heading, marker/camera timing, app version, platform, and bounded user-agent/device compatibility information. We use these fields to diagnose and improve navigation accuracy, heading, map following, rerouting, provider latency, regional performance, and compatibility. A coarse regional cell is derived from sampled GPS; the upload IP is not retained as training data. We do not use training data for advertising or public ranking. Garage media is excluded.
Private until deletion.
Consented training captures do not automatically expire. They remain authentication-protected until the driver deletes the capture or account, or an authorized administrator deletes them. Disabling sampling prevents future samples but does not erase already uploaded evidence.
Do not interact while driving.
Configure Driftistan while parked or ask a passenger. You must obey traffic, device-use, access, privacy, and content laws. Driftistan never grants legal ownership or access to a Road Zone and does not reward speed or dangerous driving.
Spotify remains a separate service.
Spotify integration is optional. It can display the active track, playlists, saved and recently played tracks, search results, and queue information, and can send a driver-selected playback command to Spotify. Driftistan does not provide, copy, alter, synchronize, or broadcast Spotify audio. Spotify availability, subscriptions, devices, API quotas, content, and account eligibility are controlled by Spotify and are subject to Spotify's own terms and privacy policy. Android Now Playing metadata, PKCE tokens, and Spotify library metadata stay on that device until disconnected and are not uploaded to Driftistan.
Consent can be withdrawn.
Disable Navigation Improvement Sampling in Settings at any time. Remove Spotify library access with Disconnect, or revoke Android Now Playing access in system settings. Account deletion removes cloud-owned captures and associated account data. Administrators can delete individual captures through the protected admin console.
